In the past, Apple has done a few good things for the planet, but they have also brought some destruction to it also. For instance, Apple as well as other computer, tablet, and smart phone creators have turned people onto reading their new digitally rather than by hard copy. Because less paper is needed, less trees have to be cut down to produce paper products.
Nevertheless, it takes lots of energy to run a network and to store data on a cloud server. As a result, non-renewable resources have been used to make them run. This might actually be considered worse than cutting down a tree since we can always plant new trees, but we can’t quickly turn seeds into oil.
